MN Renewable Energy Focus Proposal

In efforts to move along our focus of content for our project, here's my latest thoughts. Comments invited!
Overwhelmed with the scope of the entire ENERGY theme, I’ve narrowed my focus simply on Renewable Energy (which is still very large.)

Question: Is it possible for MN to become more energy independent and redue CO2 emissions in the process?

HOOK - “Power Team” tracking down sustainable energy solutions in MN.
The Power Team visits 6 MN hot spots for Renewable Energy:
1. solar
2. wind
3. biomass
4. geothermal
5. hydropower
6. hydrogen

My proposed Power Team consists of the following experts (how many experts does it take to change a light bulb?):
1. Historian. -What can we learn from our ancestors about energy generation and use?
2. Engineer/Inventor. How can we engineer and invent a more sustainable future?
3. Economist. -How does the flow of money affect sustainable energy development?
4. Environmentalist. How can we protect flora and fauna? Reduce use and emissions, water conservation, etc.
5. Storyteller. -How can we create and share stories to empower individuals and communities to choose sustainable energy solutions and become advocates for change?
